What's Happened Since High School

Went to university off and on, interspersed with travelling. Finally finished my degree and worked as a social worker in Lillooet and Lytton for 3 years. After becoming a burned out social worker, I went back to university for teacher training and worked for a short time in Burnaby before going back for specialist training. Then taught visually impaired kids in Terrace and New Westminster, before marrying and moving to Los Angeles where I worked with visually impaired infants and toddlers. Then we had a child, a boy named Tim, and decided to move back to Canada. To that point I had never lived in one place longer than 3 years! Moved to Prince George in 1990 and taught in various part-time, temporary jobs there and in the northern communities for 6 years. We moved to Campbell River in 1996 and I have been working here and in communities north of here, ever since. In 2009 I began working half-time in the Comox Valley as well. Love my job!

Divorced and am in a relationship. In 2010, my son is in second year Business at U.Vic.

Have traveled in N. America and overseas (Europe, Africa, Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji).
