(perhaps 2 or 3) with friends. Too many things on the
playing list and not enough time or money to do them

What's Happened Since High School |
2000:
It doesn't seem possible that it has been 30 years! I
graduated from BCIT in 1973 with a diploma in Electrical
and Electronics Technology, worked briefly in Vancouver
and then moved to Prince George to work for BC Tel.
Darlene and I were married in 1973 and her son Micheal
was an instant start to our family. Our other three
children were born in Prince George; the oldest two are
now working on their own careers and two youngest
(twins) are still in university. We have thoroughly
enjoyed our kids at all of their ages and stages but are
now getting used to the freedom of having them home for
visits only!
I have
always enjoyed trying new work situations -
unfortunately, it is a tough habit to break. After BC
Tel, I worked for Xerox in both the technical and sales
sides. The lure of real estate enticed me to get my
license in 1983 and I started in the mortgage brokerage
business just as everyone else in BC was trying to get
out! I then worked for Credit Foncier Trust and Montreal
Trust, ending up managing the branch in Prince George.
In 1988, I couldn't resist the opportunity to move back
to the Island and accepted a position to manage a
provincial portfolio of properties, working out of
Nanaimo. Those properties were eventually sold and, in
1993, I formed Zaicana Pacific Realty with a partner. It
has now been seven years doing the same thing - it must
be time for a change!
2010:
DTZ Barnicke Nanaimo Ltd. was founded in 1993,
specifically focused on the provision of professional
real estate services to owners of commercial properties
in the central Vancouver Island area. Previously called
Zaicana Pacific Realty Ltd., we associated with the J.J.
Barnicke national association of commercial realtors in
September 2004, changing our name at the same time. The
DTZ Barnicke Nanaimo Ltd. organization is directed by
Bob Moss, Managing Partner and company founder. |
