2000: Since my son left home I have been working on an English
degree at U-Vic (in my spare time) - just for fun - not
for any particular reason. I travelled to England and
Scotland a few years ago and would like to travel more.
My most significant accomplishment
has been helping my oldest granddaughter to learn her
alphabet and numbers, and to add and subtract before she
went off to Grade 1. She loves school and that makes me
very happy!
2010: In the last
ten years we have done more travelling in Europe and we
have been on an Alaska cruise, which was lots of fun. We
are travelling to Spain in June/July this year to relax
for a couple of weeks and to hike in the Pyrenees
Mountains for a couple of weeks.
My eldest granddaughter is in grade
11 and will graduate from high school next year and the
younger one is in grade 8. They are very nice girls who
still like school. My son is a journeyman carpenter with
his own little company. |
