Children: Sharlene (1972), Anthonie (1974), Joel (1977), Lindsey (1981), Zachary (1982), Jonathan (1985), Ashley (1987), Justin (1989) and Benjamin (1991) - 3 girls, 6 boys. We had 5 weddings in 15 months - between May 2006 and August 2007!! They are wonderful children and we enjoy them as adults and are very proud of them. Our youngest is graduating from high school this June 2010 (Hallelujah!!!) I'm having a party to celebrate no more school/homework to worry about - when they go to university they are on their own!

Grandchildren: Sharlene has Jessica (1993), Kaitlyn (1995), Zachary (2001) and Christopher (2003). Anthonie and his wife Jen are expecting a baby in June 2010.

Hobbies & Fun Things

Camping, reading, needlework, traveling, gardening, and having all the kids home at once (does not happen very often)- they enjoy each other and have a lot of fun together. Volunteered at the Paralympics in Whistler for 10 days in March 2010.

What's Happened Since High School

College, marriage, raising kids, watching too-many-to-count volleyball games (all the kids played on their school teams and clubs), hockey games (husband and boys), took some Library Services courses at UCFV and have been working part time for 12 years as librarian in a primary school.

I had a home stay business for 8 years placing International students for the Surrey School Board (which I sold in January).

Have traveled to Europe, Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, the Caribbean, across Canada and parts of USA.

Celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary this year - I'm married to a wonderful man! Many things to be thankful for.
