OUR TIME TO EARN our stripes and step out into the world came on the heels of significant change happening all around us... enjoying the afterglow of Woodstock was a happening thing, the hippie culture lured a few, while the music of our generation reached practically everybody.

Canadian pride was long ago firmly established in our Class of 1970... we have witnessed inauguration of the new maple leaf flag in 1965, followed by celebrations for the 100th Anniversary of Confederation in 1967. Is it any wonder we recently threw such an awesome party for the world at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver?

“That's one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind.” Who can forget those words spoken by Neil Armstrong upon landing on the moon July 20th 1969. Science and technology was opening the way into our future... who could have envisioned then, where we would be today!
